Work Management

– Work Identification Process

  • The objective of the work identification process is to provide a system for new work identification and initial assessment to determine any immediate impacts to operations.
  • Work can be identified by:
  • Operations
  • Maintenance (Trades, Contractors, Inspectors, Engineers, Vendors)
  • Work is identified by Operations and Maintenance personnel who conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the work must be completed immediately (work order priority 0).
  • Not all work requires a work order or request, some tasks can be completed and logged as events in the Asset Operational Log. Work that is identified and assessed as being required, but not immediately, is entered on a work order in System and placed into the backlog in preparation for further assessment and planning.
  • The Work Identification process defines the various ways that work is identified, captured (on work requests/orders within EAM)or CMMS, reviewed, validated and authorised to plan.
  • The key objectives of this process are:
  • To allow any user who identifies work the ability to request activities be carried out for an identified plant item.
  • To allow authorised users to query for, review/validate and progress (i.e. authorise to plan) work orders within their designated areas
